ShipHound

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 September 2026

ShipHound is an iPhone app that keeps your distracting apps locked until you ship something that grows your app. There is no account. Almost everything stays on your phone. What leaves it: the ship you type, your goal, and the proof you choose to submit, sent to be judged and not stored, plus anonymous subscription data for the paywall.

No account, no tracking

ShipHound has no sign-up and no login. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or location. The app contains no advertising and no analytics trackers of our own.

What stays on your phone

All of it lives in the app’s own storage on your device and is deleted when you delete the app.

What leaves your phone, and why

Three features need a server: the ship check, the coach, and proof verification. For these, the app sends the following to our server, a Cloudflare Worker, which passes it to Anthropic’s Claude API to produce the verdict:

We do not store any of it. The image is judged once and discarded. The verdict comes back to your phone and is kept there, not with us. Anthropic processes the content to generate the response under its commercial API terms and does not use it to train its models. Our server keeps short-lived technical logs (time, IP address, response status) to rate-limit and debug requests, never the content.

Screenshots and photos

ShipHound only sees the one image you pick for a proof, through Apple’s picker. It does not scan your photo library. The camera is used only when you choose to take a proof photo.

Payments and the paywall

Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never see your card details. The paywall and your subscription status are managed with Superwall, a third-party service. Superwall receives an anonymous, app-generated ID, basic device details (model, iOS version, language, time zone), which paywall you saw, and whether you subscribed. It never receives your locked apps, your ship hours, your ships, or your proofs. If ShipHound comes to Android, Google Play will handle payment the same way.

Children

ShipHound is for adults building apps and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete. To remove everything ShipHound stored, delete the app. For a question or a request under the GDPR, the CCPA, or another privacy law, email hello@shiphound.app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
